SIRAO FLOWER GARDEN

A few months ago I posted Sirao Flower Garden (Click here),  the Little Amsterdam. Now I am posting the Sirao Flower Garden v.2.0 located at the upper level, just a few meters away from the original Sirao Flower Garden.

This was the first time I saw the Celosia flowers in Sirao I was so amazed by its beauty, the colors it gives to the place as well as to human being seeing the garden; got so carried away that I found myself so focused looking, inspecting, and studying every scene. My brain cells were busy searching for best compositions for perfect shots; I was sooooo into it,  (The sickness of being a photographer-wannabe) and I forgot I wasn't alone on this trip. My bad...

I hope you'll enjoy the photos I amateurishly took:

Celosia Flowers are known in Netherland. Today, it is widely known in the country as "Buwak sa Sirao" or Sirao's flower.

"Every flower is a soul
blossoming in nature"
- Gerard de Nerval

Celosia is derived from the Ancient Greek word κήλεος (kḗleos), meaning "burning," referring to the flame-like flower heads of celosia.

"Life is the flower for which love is the honey. "
-Victor Hugo

"Happiness held is the seed; Happiness shared is the flower."
-John Harrigan

"Nobody sees a flower really; it is so small. We have no time, and to See takes time...
-Georgia O'Keeffe

"When you take a flower in your hand and really look at it, it's your world for the moment. I want to give that world to someone else. Most people in the city rush around so, they have no time to look at a flower. I want them to see it whether they want to or not."
-Georgia O'Keeffe

"The fact that I can plant a seed and it becomes a flower, share a bit of knowledge and it becomes another's, smile at someone and receive a smile in return, are to me continual spiritual exercises."
-Leo Buscaglia

HOW TO GET THERE:

If you do not have any private vehicle or van rental, if you're like me, "Wa koy car!!!" better commute and head to Lahug at JY Square Mall and look for a habal-habal (a single motorcycle).

If you love haggling (Hangyo/tawad pa more), do it cause you can convince the driver to lower the price. We paid P300.00 pesos for 2 persons (duha lang kapasahero sa isa ka motor and please use helmet samtang gasakay sa motor) for 3 stops, Temple of Leah, Sirao, and Tops Lookout. If you're kind enough you can give tip to the driver for the "Waiting Fee." (Tip diay ang waiting fee? bwahahaha... kaloy-i na lang ang driver nga gahulat sa gawas samtang ga enjoy ka sulod hehehehe :D)

Entrance Fee for Sirao Flower Garden is P30.00 per person as of December 2016. Fee is subject to change without prior notice :D
