PHOTOGRAPHY COMPOSITION, IT'S USELESS!

The question is what is the essence of IT if it is not use as IT?

I was kinda disturb when, AGAIN, I over heard someone saying "Pamicture lang kay sa filter ra man na bawion" (Just take pictures, everything will be okay by applying filters). Well, it's kinda true, filters make your shots more pleasant to the eyes and it makes the work of a photographer easier. I don't have problems with filters but it must be used according to its purpose.

Whazzup Everybody! In this post, am gonna talk about something new photographers and some photographers out there who forgot to know the essence of photography, as well as a reminder to myself too. I am not saying that I am a good photographer, I am still learning like you do but my point is, photography is an Art. If you can notice, the social media feeds today are almost the same. This is because new photographers today doesn't understand the essence of photography. As you can notice, Composition becomes nothing, filters matter.

The Art of Photography evolves from time to time. It adapt with the sign of the times because it is an Art. An Expression of an Artists from a certain era but that doesn't mean the essence of The Art of Photography ceases. I have observed that the most "Likes" pictures today aren't because it is composed well or shot well, but being applied with filters used by famous photographers. Again, nothing is wrong with it but since it is an Art, Be the You in YOU! Be authentic in your creative work! Discover your own heart and your style will just popped-up.

On the other side of a coin, I agree that from the time photography exists, photography composition was and is nothing, composition is useless if you can't NOTICE. What's the use of having memorized all photography composition styles and techniques if you can't notice Beauty around you and just rely on filters? Photography is not just about the technicalities or about applying filters, it's about seeing and noticing what's around you and communicate it through your photos.

Understand what Ernst Haas, a photojournalist and pioneering in color photography, once said:

"I am not interested in new things. I am interested to see things new"

What is the essence of photography if you just apply downloadable famous filters? Is photography becoming JUST a graphic filter art today?

Don't be an Imitator, be an Innovator!
