Whazzup! 2020 is the year that the whole world mourns because of this pandemic Covid19. Many lives were ceased by the virus around the globe. Photography business also died. Yup, because of this Covid19, we, as today of writing this blog, in the Philippines are not allowed to have social gatherings to avoid spreading the virus and for each ones safety. Birthdays, Debut, Baptism, and Weddings... these events are the source of income of many photographers.
But that's not my my only point why my title is "Photography is Dying." Photography life is dying. Yes, photography is dying. I know you'll disagree with me but for me, and am sure some photographers out there will agree with me.
Have you ever noticed the trend today? Today, most of the people who calls themselves "photographers" are much more on gears: camera, software, filters, presets. Am not against of these things, but these type of people relies much on gears... They relies much on their presets to make their images look great even if it's not. They rely much on their popularity. Their images are not photographs, but because they are popular, BAM! A WINNER! Taking snaps with their very expensive cameras, apply popular presets during post process (where everyone are crazily-dying to acquire from a popular preset maker on the net), BAM! What a masterpiece. Photography is dying because of LAZY Photographers. Yes, photography is dying because of lazy photographers but crazy editors... Photography is not about digital art. Yes photographers edit and enhanced photos but photographers are not graphic artist.

Are people who brand their own selves technically sound in the field of photography? Hmmm...
Is this the new trend of photography or is it killing photography? Am not against of using presets or of new expensive gears because these can help us in our photography but relying much on these tools makes every photographers, new or pro, lazy. Lazy MAKING and TAKING photographs.

Before I end this post, here are some points to remember if you want to save photography, do these necessary measures.
1. STOP BEING A LAZY PHOTOGRAPHER.
2. TAKE YOUR CAMERA WITH YOU AND TAKE AND MAKE PHOTOS
3. TAKE AND MAKE PHOTOGRAPHS NOT PICTURES
4. DURING POST PROCESS, UNDERSTAND YOUR IMAGES FIRST
THEN APPLY THE NECESSARY PRESETS THAT SUITS THE IMAGE
5. LEARN TO MOVE YOUR SLIDERS DURING POST PROCESS.
6. PHOTOGRAPH WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY
