Seeing what is extraordinary with the ordinary is what photography is all about. How about taking your photography beyond what your eyes can see? Let's go to the world of the unseen existent world, let's go to the world where our eyes can't fathom, let's go to the world or macro photography!
Whhaaazzzzuuuppp! Have you ever wondered what kind of world our very tiny living creatures have? Well, before only few can witness their beauty but now the world can through Macro Photography. According to Wikipedia, "Macro photography, is extreme close-up photography, usually of very small subjects and living organisms like insects, in which the size of the subject in the photograph is greater than life size." Okay, that's extremely literal description of what macro photography is.
Macro Photography can be done with a macro lens or using a reverse ring but the latter is not that stable all the time. Macro lenses can help you lessen the burden of taking a very very close-up shots with ants, insects, or even the details during wedding... specially when you are time pressured you can't trust your reverse ring that much. Macro lenses is better but the problems is these lenses are expensive.
The image above is an example of macro photography I took using a reverse ring. The latter is NOT ideal for wedding photography because it's just too time consuming to have the right exposure and focus.
That was before 7artisans made an affordable macro lens to every aspiring and professional photographers and videographers. 7Artisans gives us an affordable but powerful unique macro lens for mirrorless camera, the 60mm f2.8. Yes, not for DSLR cameras. This lens is powerful enough to make a very close up shot with 1:1 ratio of magnification (you can add an extension tube to make the magnification 2:1 or 3:1).

This new 7artisans 60mm manual focus lens is tack sharp lens and features a minimum of 26cm or 10 inches focusing distance with a maximum aperture of F2.8 to minimum aperture of F16. It has an optical structure of 8 elements in 7 groups. It's filter size is 39mm. Its Aperture ring is de-clicked type; and this lens weighs 550g weight. According to some hands on reviews that the aperture ring of this lens is really smooth and silent. How I wish I am able to experience that too. 7artisans 60mm F2.8 has as 10 blade diaphragm which I believe can give you a super cotton-nized bokeh.
One of the most unique feature of this lens is its barrel that can extend outside the lens itself. It's like a mini probe lens. Whoaaa, that's really a nice feature of this lens. Imagine, you can submerge the extended barrel into a water and make some creative shots with a wedding ring or anything you want to shoot in the water. . . or a close-up dolly in or dolly out in your video of a wedding ring under the stiletto shoe of the bride. Hmmm... what ya think?

Let me divert you for a while, for those asking what is a probe lens, well here's a LAOWA's probe lens submerge in the water... not really submerge but the barrel is submerge.
