Whaaazzzzuuuup! I started photography using a borrowed point and shoot compact Nikon Coolpix S230. From then on I fell in love with Nikon. Years later, I bought my first DSLR from Nikon and up to now I am still a Nikon DSLR user for my professional gigs and backed up with my Sony A6000.
Last February 2, 2020, before this Covid19 Pandemic happened, Nikon released their powerful professional full frame camera, with a 21.8 MP is the Nikon D6. If you know Nikon, their one digit DSLR series are on top of the line when it comes to photography.
PROS
The D6 comes with the most powerful fast autofocus in the history of Nikon. You can never miss a moment with this camera because of its all-selectable cross sensor with 105-point AF with high density placement.
This camera when using the viewfinder gives you a 14fps with AF/AE tracking and that will give you a perfect time capturing a critical moment. Even when using the Dynamic-Area AF and 3D tracking still gives you the focusing and tracking action with the new AF engine built in this camera.
D6 processor is the EXPEED 6 and have an ISO sensitivity up to 102,400 which makes this camera great in low light situation.
D6 is built with Wi-Fi and WT-6 transmitters, and Bluetooth to give you more versatile methods of uploading your images.
D6 comes with a two fast card slots. Thank you Nikon for making this on this camera.
D6 can shoot 4K with 30fps.
The built of this camera, like its predecessors is still ultimately durable - heat, weather, dust resistant thus takes your photography to a whole new level.
CONS
But, according to those who have used this D6, I haven't experienced even holding this camera yet, there are cons of this camera.
D6 is a 20.8MP but no IBIS (In -Body Image Stabilization). This is a con for me because there are cheaper mirrorless camera that has an IBIS at 24.1MP.
D6 can shoot 14fps mecanically but in silent mode, it can only shoot 10.5fps which Nikon's competitor have, like the Canon 1DX III or the Sony A9 II that can shoot 20fps in silent mode.
This camera's autofocusing point is 105AF but its competitor gives a 150AF and if you compare the AF points with a mirrorless camera you'll noticed that the AF points of the latter camera can be the entire viewfinder.
Since this is a professional camera, it's really expensive with only these specs.
If you think this camera is better for your photography style, then this camera is for you.
